2022 Season 2, Week 12

Monday May 30 @ 8pm - Monday June 6 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Zandvoort: I started second, fell back to third at the start, and retook second when the car ahead of me spun on lap 3. I finished about a second behind the leader. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 11

Monday May 23 @ 8pm - Monday May 30 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Zolder: I started on the pole and had a rough laps 4-5 where I just seemed to lose my bearings and got passed for the lead. Once I gathered myself together and was starting to gain on the leader, he spun exiting the turn 5 chicane on lap 12. I took the lead and went on to win the race. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 10

Monday May 16 @ 8pm - Monday May 23 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Barcelona: I started and finished third in this lightly-attended race with just the minimum 6 drivers. I went off-track at the end of lap 2 and fell back to 4th, then the car ahead of me spun at the end of lap 3 and I moved back up to third. After lap 3 I was just driving around alone for the rest of the race. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 9

Monday May 9 @ 8pm - Monday May 16 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park): I started second and finished second in this race in which nothing happened after the first lap. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 8

Monday May 2 @ 8pm - Monday May 9 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (Montreal): This was my first time racing on this track. It's mainly made up of chicanes with walls like a street course, though not bumpy like most street circuits. Most contenders had incidents in the first four laps and dropped back, leaving only me and Matthew to decide the race between ourselves. I won, taking the lead on lap 7, and stayed about 1 second ahead of the second place car for the rest of the race. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 7

Monday April 25 @ 8pm - Monday May 2 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Phillip Island: This ended up being a battle between me and another driver, Matthew, who I frequently race against on Monday nights. I was about a second behind him but never able to catch him, and finished second. [Video]

• ARCA at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway: I entered this race a couple of times, and basically held my position, with nothing interesting happening. [No Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 6

Monday April 18 @ 8pm - Monday April 25 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Imola: I started and finished mid-pack here, not doing as well as I would have liked in terms of pace, but at least keeping out of trouble. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 5

Monday April 11 @ 8pm - Monday April 18 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Sebring: This was a fun race, I did much better here this season than last. After the first few laps, the battle for the lead was between my brother Tim and another driver that I often race against on Monday nights, Matthew. After Matthew spun while going through the bumpy Sunset Bend, I was briefly in the lead, but Tim (who is faster here) got by me very quickly, and we finished first and second. (This was Tim's second win in a row in the series, and our first ever 1-2 finish.) [Video]

• ARCA at Twin Ring Motegi: I took the pole position by 0.3 seconds (a lot) and led the entire race, wire to wire, with nothing interesting happening. [No Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 4

Monday April 4 @ 8pm - Monday April 11 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Snetterton: This was a great race for thirteen and a half out of sixteen laps. Then on lap 14 I went off track and gave up some positions, and near the end of the 16th and final lap, one of those cars who got by when I went off spun right in front of me and I crashed right into him, but I was lucky not to take heavy damage and got across the line to finish the race. My brother Tim won this race! [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 3

Monday March 28 @ 8pm - Monday April 4 @ 8pm.

• Formula Renault 2.0 at Spa: I started on the pole, fell back to 3rd in the opening laps, and went into the lead on lap 4 after everyone ahead of me had some problem or incident. I bobbled a couple of turns on lap 9, and the car behind me drafted by on the back straight, and I finished in second behind him. [Video]

• Formula Renault 3.5 at Sebring: I entered this race only to continue practicing driving this car. My race had a tiny field, with 2 fast cars way ahead of me, a group of 3 of us (all coincidentally named Greg) trailing them by a long way, and then 2 more much slower cars behind the 3 Gregs. I finished 4th, alone on the track with no one in sight either ahead or behind. [No Video -- Too Boring]

  1. • ARCA at New Hampshire: This was a fun race, with a group of us in the middle of the field racing for positions throughout most of the race. On lap 12 a traffic jam forms behind me and a car I'm racing with side by side, but by the end of lap 13 I've made it past and pulled ahead of the group. I did pretty well managing the tires throughout the race, so that I was still competitive at the end, and finished in 9th place. [Video]

• USF 2000 at Barber Motorsports Park (Alabama): I ran this race and did OK, it was my first time racing at Barber, and was fun as a new experience. [No Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 2

Monday March 21 @ 8pm - Monday March 28 @ 8pm.

• 1. • Formula Renault 2.0 at Laguna Seca: Finished 3rd after crashing (but getting no significant damage) in the corkscrew on lap 4. [Video]

     • Formula Renault 3.5 at Imola: I did OK for about half of this race, but then spun exiting the chicane at the end of lap 11. [Video]

     • ARCA at USA International Speedway (Lakeland, Florida): I finished 6th in this race in which I battled one car for most of the race but never managed to get past. [Video]

2022 Season 2, Week 1

Monday March 14 @ 8pm - Monday March 21 @ 8pm.

• 1. • Formula Renault 2.0 at Road America: I started 3rd, fell back to 4th on the opening lap, and then passed a couple of cars in the early laps by out-braking them on the inside into turn 5. I finished 2nd. [Video]

     • Formula Renault 3.5 at Suzuka: This was my first ever Formula Renault 3.5 race. I qualified 6th but then started from the pits at the back of the field, and made it back to 6th by the end of the race. [Video]

     • ARCA at Charlotte: Some of the leaders tangled ahead of me at the end of lap 2, and I was caught up in a crash with them, and dropped out of the race, and never entered it again during the week. [No Video]
